Overview

The Pedagogy BA provides a comprehensive understanding of learning and teaching, combining theoretical and practical knowledge in education and related fields (e.g., psychology, educational history, philosophy, sociology, policy, and digital education). The program emphasizes interdisciplinary courses that cover the education system, modern learning theories, research methods, and equal opportunities (inclusion, child protection, educational rights). Through internships and projects, students gain insights into institutions and organizations in public, private, adult, and vocational education, as well as civil society and the private sector. The program also offers self-awareness and skills training, individual mentoring, and career and crisis counselling.

Specializations:

In the 21st century, there is an increasing need to effectively integrate technology into teaching and learning to meet the evolving demands of modern education. The digital education specialization focuses on equipping professionals with the skills needed to support effective and creative teaching through technology-enhanced methods. Throughout the program, students develop digital and educational competencies that enable them to confidently offer professional support to both educational institutions and businesses. The courses provide comprehensive knowledge of current trends in educational technology and online learning management. Students explore methods for technology-enhanced teaching and learning in various contexts, including classrooms, and beyond. The specialization’s practice-oriented and reflective approach covers a wide range of digital education topics, with courses designed to build on one another. Assessment is based primarily on practical work, and student projects, with lectures culminating in exams.
