Entry qualification | Undergraduate / Bachelor diploma (or higher) Applicants must hold a university bachelor’s degree (or an equivalent college degree) in the fields listed below. Full credit acknowledgement is only given for a bachelor’s degree in Oriental Languages and Cultures Specialized in Chinese Studies. In the case of a BA degree from another field of study, each degree will be considered individually, and transcripts from your BA degree as well as course descriptions will be requested. The applicant must have 50 credits from the fields of history, linguistics, literature and culture of Oriental Languages and Cultures specialized in Chinese study programme. The entry qualification documents are accepted in the following languages: English. Often you can get a suitable transcript from your school. Overview
Short description
The goal of this program is to provide reliable, authentic knowledge on Chinese culture, both ancient and modern. Students will acquire the necessary knowldge and tools in order to conduct valuable research work on several areas of Sinology, including linguistics, literature, history, etc., according to one’s own interests.
This program is recommended to applicants who have completed a BA program, preferably in a Chinese studies related field, possess the necessary language skills and cultural background, which can form a basis for advanced research work. International students will be offered the opportunity to learn and acquire western methods of scientific research work, based on the long tradition of western Sinology, and complemented with the tools of modern digital technology.
This program enables students to process relevant data on specific research topics, related to certain areas of Sinology, internalize a western scientific approach, and methods of argumentation.
