Overview

Short description
Students of Scandinavian Studies will be able to acquire wide-ranging education, different skills and competences during their studies. The program provides courses in the liberal arts, special Scandinavian and philological studies, language skills development at a higher level, and special seminars on Scandinavian languages and cultures. Students will gain comprehensive cultural, historical and literary knowledge regarding the whole region of Scandinavia and especially a chosen Scandinavian language/country. In the scope of the Master course, students have a choice of specializations in linguistics and philology based on core studies, and preparation for possible academic fields.

Strength of program
The Master program aims to provide theoretical and practical knowledge as a philological discipline (linguistic, literary and cultural studies) of Scandinavia to graduates who will thus be familiar with the fields and methods of academic research and be able to meet the requirements of the PhD program.
